Dance styles offered at Studio de danse Imperium

At Studio de danse Imperium, we offer many different dance styles. As a parent or future dancer, we know that it can be difficult to choose the best class(es) to take! In order to familiarize yourself with the styles we offer here, we have prepared explanatory videos. We hope this helps you find the right class(es) for you or your child!

CREATIVE BALLET 2-3 Y.O.

In this very special class, children will get the chance to discover classical dance in a magical environment! From learning how to do a ballet prince/princess walk to learning choreography in a class setting, your child will develop new skills every week!

The Leaping Lions of Imperium: In this exclusive program, created by Studio de danse Imperium, we focus on 4 main objectives: gross motor development, language skills, cognitive development, as well as emotional and social development. This program has its own mascot, Lenny the Lion, and contains various unforgettable activities planned throughout the year to make sure each child and their family experience an amazing introduction to our beautiful dance world!

CREATIVE HIP HOP 2-3 Y.O.

In this very special class, children will get the chance to discover hip hop dance in a magical environment! From learning how to do bounces and pump-up jumps to learning choreography in a class setting, your child will develop new skills every week!

ACRO

This class will allow dancers to explore acrobatic dance. This will be an initiation to acrobatic technique individually. The dancers have the opportunity to develop their coordination, flexibility and agility through acrobatics. This class is a great complement to all of our dance classes offered at Studio de danse Imperium.

BALLET

This class will allow dancers to learn the basics of classical dance. The objective of the class is to give dancers the chance to explore dance through music, encouraging their creativity and to learn the basics of ballet, all while having fun.

TAP

This class will allow dancers to learn the basics of tap dance. The objective of the class is to explore dance through music, encourage creativity and to learn the basics of tap, all while having fun.

HIP HOP

This class will allow dancers to learn the basics of hip-hop and street dance. The objective of the class is to explore dance through music, encourage creativity and to learn the basics of hip hop/street dance, all while having fun.

JAZZ

This class will allow dancers to learn the basics of jazz dance. The objective of the class is to explore dance through music, encouraging their creativity and to learn the basics of jazz, all while having fun. The class will be comprised of technique exercises (across the floor), stretching, interpretation exercises, and choreography.

LYRICAL

This class will allow dancers to learn the basics of lyrical dance. The objective of the class is to give dancers the chance to explore dance through music, encouraging creativity, and learning the basics of lyrical, all while having fun. The class will be comprised of technique exercises (across the floor), stretching, interpretation exercises, and choreography.

CONTEMPORARY

This class will allow dancers to learn the basics of contemporary dance. The objective of the class is to give dancers the chance to explore dance through music, encouraging creativity, and learning the basics of contemporary, all while having fun. The class will be comprised of technique exercises (across the floor), stretching, interpretation exercises, and choreography.
