Studio de danse Imperium is very proud of the following awards and achievements from these past few years.

Empire On Révolution

One of Studio de danse Imperium’s dance teams, Empire, was part of the 5th season of the TV show Révolution!

The Studio and the competitive coaches had the goal of surpassing themselves in 2022-2023. Thanks to the incredible efforts of their teacher and choreographer, Isabelle Rochette, as well as the dancers, we have achieved a new goal: making it to Révolution with one of our dance teams!

Congratulations to all the dancers (Émilie Lacas, Émilie Vanier, Erika Skody, Lauren Skody, Lia Campo, Abigail Zanti, Sydney McAleer, Ashley Avila, Edith Rapeanu, Leah Rechil) and thank you to all those who contributed to this success. Special shoutout to Unisson, one of our tap teams, that made it on the first round of the show as well this season.

Showcase Finalist

During the 2022-2023 competitive season, two of the Studio’s teams were selected as finalists for a showcase: United (Bravissimo Competition’s Showcase) and Unisson (HTF Gatineau’s All-Star Showcase). It was the first time a hip-hop team from the Studio had the honor to present their piece in a showcase. We would like to congratulate Isabelle Rochette (United) and Christine DeGrâce (Unisson) for these accomplishments.

Finalists at The West Island of Montreal Chamber of Commerce

It is with great pride that Christine and Véronique represented Studio de danse Imperium on June 8, 2023, at the Gala of the West Island Chamber of Commerce as one of the 5 proud finalist companies in the Small & Medium Enterprises category for 2023. Thank you to the Chamber of Commerce for the beautiful evening – What an incredible honor!

Consumer Choice Award

For over 35 years, Consumer Choice Award has been recognizing and promoting business excellence in North America. We are proud to announce that Studio de danse Imperium has been named the best Dance School on the Island of Montreal by the Consumer Choice Award for 2023. We share this award with all of our employees, who make the customer experience for our dancers and their families so incredible!

Isabelle at Revolution

The Imperium Family is so proud of Isabelle Rochette, dancer and teacher at Studio de danse Imperium, for her selection on the 4th season of the television show Revolution! It was beautiful to watch Isabelle shine on the screen up until the “faces-à-faces”. What an inspiration for our students!

In June 2022, one of our teams, “Happy”, was selected for the Hit the Floor Gatineau All-Star Showcase. Being selected for this showcase (top 8 of the entire competition) was one of our biggest goals as a studio. Achieving this with a tap group is a great source of pride. We would like to congratulate Christine DeGrâce, the choreographer and teacher of “Happy”, for this accomplishment!

National Dance School of Canada

On April 4th, 2022, Studio de danse Imperium’s directors and founders, Christine Langston and Véronique Sévigny-Leclerc announced their partnership with Sonia Clarke, a teacher at the studio as well as the proud founder of the National Dance School of Canada (ÉNDC). This 3 year professional education program for young adults will be offered during the day in Imperium’s facilities starting in September 2022. Sonia Clarke is the ideator and Artistic Director, Christine is the Director of Finances and Véronique is the Marketing Director of this new school.

In December 2021, at the first edition of the Gala du Réseau d’Enseignement de la Danse du Québec, one of our teachers, Lia Campo, won the 2021 Fun Teacher Award. Lia earned this honorable mention for all the effort she put into her virtual classes during the pandemic. As a preschool dance teacher, Lia surprised us every Sunday morning when she turned on her camera! She took the time to decorate her house differently each week and to dress up. Children participated exceptionally well because of all the special activities and themes she incorporated. We congratulate Lia for bringing smiles to the children’s faces during these more difficult times and for exceeding all our expectations! An article was written about it on the Réseau d’Enseignement de la Danse du Québec website.

Véronique and Christine were extremely honoured to receive, in January of 2020, in Las Vegas, the prestigious CEOs of the Year award, presented by the Dance Studio Owner’s Association, an international organization of hundreds of dance studios across the world.
