Preschool dance
Preschool program and initiation to the dance world for little ones (18 months to 5 years old)
Our preschool program provides each child and their family with an incredible initiation to the wonderful world of dance! It is composed of three distinct programs: Parent & Cub for children of ages 18 months to 3, The Leaping Lions of Imperium, for ages 2-3, and The Roaring Stars of Imperium, for ages 4-5. Dancers will also participate in the year end shows.
18 months to 3 years old
Parent & Cub
Our introduction to dance for you and your little one! This 7-week program is designed with the specific needs of a toddler in mind. Parents assist their child to the workings of a classroom while at the same time encouraging their child’s natural movement.
Fine and gross motor skills are developed through the use of music and dance. They will learn to take turns and work with other children. Most importantly, they will learn the basics of classroom etiquette in a safe, nurturing environment. All skills are needed as they progress not only in dance but in school and throughout life.
2-3 years old
The Leaping Lions of Imperium
In this exclusive program created by Studio de danse Imperium, we focus on 4 main objectives: gross motor skills development, language skills, cognitive development, emotional and social development as well as independence of the child. This program without parental accompaniment contains various unforgettable activities planned throughout the year to make sure each child and their family experience an amazing introduction to our beautiful dance world!
4-5 years old
The Roaring Stars of Imperium
Styles offered: Acro, Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz/Tap Combo
In this exclusive program, created by Studio de danse Imperium, we focus on 8 main objectives: gross motor skills development, social and emotional development, memory and language skills, tempo and spatial awareness, as well as stage performance. This program has its own mascot, Lenny the Lion, and contains various unforgettable activities planned throughout the year to make sure each child and their family experience an amazing introduction to our beautiful dance world!
